Have Paws, Will Travel

This blog was started because I have found it difficult to find travel destinations, in particular campgrounds, that are dog-friendly.  Not just allowing dogs, but that the facilities are dog-friendly and have the green space necessary to really enjoy with your dogs.

Let me tell you my story.  I am and have been a dog owner for years, but my dogs have always been home dogs.  They left our property only for vet appointments and an occasional walk in the neighborhood, so they never traveled a great distance.

They are now officially RV dogs.  My husband and I have purchased a travel trailer and have begun to take the trips we always have talked about taking throughout our country.  As newbies, we are learning a lot of our RV, how long it takes to travel to places, and how hard it is to travel with dogs.
There is a whole new dimension to dog travel that I never considered and are now becoming part of my daily consideration and long-term planning as we travel.

As I travel, I will be reviewing the many places we will visit, the campgrounds, facilities, and even dog kennels that I will be utilizing as I try to keep my dogs safe, happy, and great traveling companions.

I hope this information is of benefit to others and your comments are always welcome.
